Replica of a Civil War sling
This sling was found on some of the Austrian Muskets used by the South
The Remington Danish rolling blocks also used a sling of this type but
the hook was steel and pointed.  The Bulgarians also used a sling of this
configueration with steel hook, shorter and holes on the hook end.
